PITTSBURG, Kan. — As the world welcomed "Winnie-the-Pooh" and the modern 40-hour workweek in 1926, Pittsburg’s new Lakeside Elementary opened its doors to welcome generations of elementary and junior high students into a legacy that reaches its centennial this year.
