National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) support groups for those living with a mental health condition (Connections) and friends and family (Family) meet at 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) KS 0599 Pittsburg meets on Monday evenings at the Homer Cole Center at 3003 N. Joplin in Pittsburg, KS. Little Balkans Quilt Guild   

Little Balkans Quilt Guild meet at The Presbyterian Church, 6th and Pine — doors open at 8:30am. Bring your sewing machines, sewing kit, cutting tools & rulers.

Pittsburg Noon Rotary  

Pittsburg Noon Rotary meets at noon on Tuesdays at Block 22. Ask a Rotarian or visit the group’s Facebook page, Pittsburg Noon Rotary Club. 

Pittsburg Duplicate Bridge Club  

The Pittsburg Duplicate Bridge Club meets on Tuesdays at 12:15 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center. Fully vaccinated bridge players are welcome to come play with their partners. 

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18 

Blanket Brigade    

 Join the Blanket Brigade in making quilts for those in need. The Brigade meets every Wednesday, except the first Wednesday of the month, at Zion Lutheran Church, 102 W. Jackson, Pittsburg, from 9 a.m. to noon. No experience necessary. 

Pittsburg Sunrise Rotary  

Meets at 7 a.m. every first and third Wednesday of the month at the Knights of Columbus Hall at the northeast corner of 11th and Joplin streets. 

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19 

Al-Anon  

Al-Anon meetings are now hybrid. The in-person gathering every Thursday at 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal, 306 W. Euclid, can be accessed by Zoom. For more information call 620-704-1309 or email [email protected]

TOPS Club Inc.  

TOPS Club Inc. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), the nonprofit weight-loss support organization, meets weekly on Thursdays at 9 a.m. at Crawford County Historical Museum, located at 651 S. Highway 69, Pittsburg. The meeting is open to the public, ages 7 and up. Your first visit to any TOPS meeting is free.

Dementia Caregiver Support Group  

Offering the opportunity for caregivers to engage and support each other throughout their journey. Gatherings at the Pittsburg Public Library at 308 N. Walnut, Pittsburg, every 3rd Thursday of the month from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Please contact Amy Yeager at (913) 945-7663 

Companions in Grief   

A monthly support group for adults coping with the loss of a loved one. Meetings are the third Thursday of each month, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Pittsburg Public Library, 308 N. Walnut. For more information, call Katee Camus at 620-687-1070. 

 Parkinson’s Support Group   

A monthly support group for those coping with Parkinson’s Disease and their families. Group meetings are on the third Thursday of every month at 3 p.m. in the Mt. Carmel Conference Room at Mercy 

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21 

Little Balkans Quilt Guild Sew Saturday 

Sew Saturday will be held at Pittsburg Presbyterian Church, 520 N. Pine from 8:30 to 3pm.  Members can work on their own projects and anyone/everyone is welcome.  It is a great time to learn about the guild and quilting.
