ARCADIA, Kan. — Autumn Leaves monthly luncheon was held in Arcadia KS, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, with 20 people in attendance. The main dish was BBQ ribs, served alongside potato salad, baked beans, deviled eggs, macaroni salad, garlic bread, garden salad and other tasty side dishes, and desserts. Thank you to David for cooking the ribs and to all who made sides and brought food to share with the group and all who helped with set up/clean up.

After a delicious meal a brief meeting was held, opened by Judy, President. Treasury statement was available for review. Tammy, secretary/treasurer reported that she has not yet obtained the information regarding non-profit status.

There was no further old business to discuss.

New business of donating for Arcadia and Liberal Alumni scholarships is brought up per Judy. Susie made a motion to donate $500 to each group, this was seconded by Barb and passed by vote. This will be followed up on at the July meeting.

An additional matter of the purchase of a first aid kit for the meeting hall is brought up, and Sharon motioned for the purchase, Ed seconded that motion and it was unanimously passed. Tammy will order the kit.

Judy and Barb both shared funnies.

Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14th, 2026.

Chili Dogs will be the main course, and it is decided that all beef hot dogs as well as Brats will be served. Buns will be provided.

Judy – Potato salad and sweet potato chips

Patty P – Ice Cream

Bottled Water, Coffee, Tea and Lemonade will be served. Any Members can choose to bring a dish of their choice.

Tammy moved to adjourn with Barb seconding the motion. All were in favor.

Before kicking off Bingo a drawing was held by Barb with Bill winning 2 loaf pans, and Debbie winning a barn wood tray creatively made by Richard.

Bingo was played by those staying for the games. Ed and Susie won blackout bingo, thanks to Barb for providing lovely prizes.

The gathering was filled with good company along with a delicious meal and good company.

Arcadia Autumn Leaves Senior Group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Area seniors are welcome to join us at the Autumn Leaves Building next to the Open-Door Mission Church.
